Unpolished Thoughts

This is my rant (and first blog) to get caught up to today…
Well - the year 2011 has been nothing less than exciting thus far. Lets see - I’ve decided to cut out the people in my life who, well, honestly? Just annoy me. If your lifestyle, behavior, poor decision making on life decisions, personality (or lack there of) annoy me — you have been or soon will be, cut off. Oh and those of you with no sense of humor, well you’re dead to me. I’ve also come to realize that being almost 25 years old, how there if still a handful of people I know who have such a juvenile mentality. No ambition, no priorities…two people in particular, I’m positive will live at home for the rest of their lives unless they marry a rich man or woman. It’s comical really…but at the same time, sad. (if you’re in school, or beginning your career, that is whole different story) Since when did being dependent become attractive?  OH WELL. Moving on…
I was watching “The Bachelor” the other night and I am seriously in shock at how many girls on that show are so desperate for love (not insulting that) so much that ALL of them are emotional wrecks! I’ve been watching this show since it began years ago and this season is just too much for me. Yes, lets glorify the train wreck that is the show “the Bachelor” and the undeniable fact that nobody (except for a few exceptions) falls in love that quickly. All of these girls (except Michelle, she is just on this show to bang out the guy) are in love with the idea of love and the Bachelor guy is hot enough to fulfill that fantasy. Tell me again, how many of these bachelor/bachelorettes actually stayed together? I know of one couple in …what, ten years? What happened to the guy doing whatever it takes to  be with a girl? Why are SO MANY GIRLS doubting their standards and themselves because of guys? Is it because we watch a television show that says we must throw ourselves at this guy to get his attention so we can keep up in the competition of 20 girls? But in reality, when we are interested in a man, we shouldnt be doing the chasing. Guys are so dead honest with their actions and I’m sick of hearing about girls who doubt this.
Example A)

  • A girl pursues a guy. He responds but does not seem that interested. She continues to throw herself at him then questions his every move.
  •  You pursued him. He didn't jump on it. No he’s not slow, nor shy, nor that busy, nor any of your excuses. HE IS JUST NOT THAT INTERESTED! He may be in the future but right now, he isn't jumping at the opportunity because the opportunity (you) is just not that appealing to him - for the time being. (Possibly because he is talking to somebody else - or isn't looking for something -  but lets remember, the girl threw herself at him so she wouldn't take the time to think about this).
Example B)

  • The girl who thinks she is in love every time she meets a guy, sleeps with him and he is still nice to her the next morning. What happens majority of the time? The daddy-issued girl obsesses over this guy, while he….guess what? Does not miss an ounce of sleep thinking about th is girl again…unless of course, he is drunk or just in the mood for another hook up - but even then, he may just move ONTO THE NEXT…because he is (drum roll please!) not interested in you.
Example C)

  • The girl who chases after her ex…well, that says enough. If you were broken up with because the man wasn't ready for commitment, wasn’t into the relationship anymore, didn’t see it going anywhere, etc…you need to stay as far away from this insecure creature. I don’t care what you say - if he wants you, he’ll come get you. HE WILL come after you. Sometimes he’ll come after you for the wrong reasons; a comfortable hook up, attention, etc… or he’ll be logical (something the majority of men are, and woman are not), weigh his options/thoughts on the relationship and if he feels it’s worth giving it another shot…HE WILL, indeed, COME AFTER YOU! period. the end.
Example D)

  • Is there really such a thing as a “shy” guy who hooks up with you, “cares” about you but is somehow too shy to talk to you - or barely talk to you? Nope, not in my world. And if there is, I do not want to date that coward. A backbone and some selflessness is a necessity in a man. Or it could be the other option…hes just using you. BOOM.
I know there are exceptions to every situation but thats why they are exceptions and not the standard. Hasn’t anybody seen or read “He’s just not that into you?”…actions speak louder than words girls/ladies/woman, actions speak louder than words.
I went out last night with a group of guys and there happened to be two random girls there. They grilled me the entire time. I mean, honestly, I wasn’t up to par with dressing up to go to a local bar on a Wednesday night (aka, a hoodie, leggings and uggs. "OMG!" i know.),  however, I also know I am not ugly. They kept staring at me as soon as they arrived because the guy they came with, my very close friend, hugged me. I did not recognize them, and I know they did not recognize me. Yet I was with a close group of friends; how could I have not met these girls before? Well come to find out, one of them is hooking up with one of my guy friends. Makes complete sense now why I was just meeting her, and also why anytime anyone with boobs would talk to him, this girl would get close, make rude comments with her friend about whomever he was talking to then giggle. I think he was embarrassed of her to be honest, because he acknowledged her twice the entire night. This girl wasn’t anything special either. I’m pretty sure her sense of style died with her personality (years ago). Her face, body, outfit, demeanor, everything was just awful. And the thing was…everybody noticed her and her friend and how they behaved. They were being laughed at while laughing at us, his friends. It must feel so nice to think are special when this guy only takes you home to add another pearl necklace to your collection! <--- do not be that girl.
Moving on…Tosh.0 - i may or may not marry him. but who knows, rumor has it he may be gay. But something I enjoy about this guy, is he can make me laugh…and somehow, all of his fans do too. This pretty much sums it up.
I’ve also come to realize how precious our time is. Your life may be gone tomorrow, tonight, next week or next year. This is why I’ve decided to cut out people who are toxic or do not add any value to my life, and dedicate more time to the ones I love/appreciate.
With that ALL SAID, this blog is intended to be my daily thoughts…don’t worry, it wont always be so jagged. who the eff needs a debbie downer in their blog life?
